It lifted its head to look around, in a mix of both visible confusion and enthrallment with the colors they hadn't been able to perceive before. They then rose to their feet, stumbling a bit as they acclimated to their new proportions. True speech hadn't fully come to them yet, but as their head whipped towards X the burning questioning aimed in their direction was palatable enough. X remained wordless, instead walking through the nearby building's walls once again. They sat on their haunches just inside, waiting for the other esk to follow inside. Minutes passed, however, and X sat amongst the shelves and books alone. Back outside they returned, finding the other esk laying in defeat in front of the door. Starring Sprout, Dracena Continued from here . Actually recaps Sprout's whole journey up through Ch 3 since I like my quest writing to stand on its own. The journey so far had been a strange one, but this did not say much as almost all of the stuffed esk's journies felt as such to them. This one had taken them far from their normal abode, prompted by both their ongoing boredom and ravenous curiousity at the mysterious pull from off in the great distance. Off from the old city they dashed, hopping to and fro via teleports until they found themselves at the edge of a rather chaotic looking shore. Other esk of all shapes and sizes dotted the area, outnumbered only by the random items strewn about the dirt and sand. Sprout found the abundant telepathic chatter rather overwhelming, tuning it out almost as soon as they encountered it.
